It’s an organisation founded in 1993 that seeks to renew the Church of England and its sister churches in the Anglican Communion in the historic faith of the church. The faith which is catholic and apostolic.

Isn't Forward in Faith Just Anti-Women?

No. It affirms the special place women have in the plan of God and the life of the church. It emphasises the distinctiveness and complementary nature of men and women. If Forward in Faith was anti- women it would be a men-only organisation which it certainly isn’t!

What are the benefits of membership?

Supporting and encouraging one another. Especially important for traditionalist Anglicans who are isolated in their own parish church or housebound.
Being able to attend local meetings, services and events.
Receiving the monthly publication- “New Directions” and the newspaper- “Forward! Plus”
Support for ones own faith and convictions.

Isn't Forward in Faith Divisive?

Not when what it works for is genuine Christian unity based on the fullness of apostolic teaching. It is those against the policies of Forward in Faith who are further dividing the Church.

The leaders of all the historic churches have pleaded with the Anglican Communion not to pursue policies that will further divide Christ’s Church: Pope Benedict, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the Russian and Coptic Patriarchs have all urged this. Forward in Faith’s voice is united with theirs to call for and work for unity and not more division.
